Georgia tourism offers a wide variety of museums to visit and one of these that may capture your interest is the Beulah Rucker Museum and Education Center in Gainesville. Here is a museum that is dedicated to a woman, who in the early 1900’s, dedicated her life to educating African-American children who had limited opportunities to go to school.

The school continued to function in various forms until the late 1950’s. It was used by elementary students, high school students and even returning veterans from WWII to gain their education.

The mission of the museum is to continue to educate people about the importance of educating every student, regardless of their color or age.
